Opening PT9 sessions in PT10
So to all of you early adopters out there - have you had any problems converting PT9 sessions to PT 10? I've been putting off making a final decision on the buy/skip question until I finish a CD I'm working on. Should that be a consideration? Have you noticed any glitches?

Re: Opening PT9 sessions in PT10
I've opened 5-7 sessions. They all work fine. Takes a little extra time to open the first time because of waveform calculations but after that there's no problem. When you save, Pro Tools will ask you to save in .ptx-format.

Re: Opening PT9 sessions in PT10
What about the other way round? If I'd work in PT10 and have to take the stuff to somebody who works with PT9, can it be exported or "saved as..." in ver 9 format (somewhat easily)?
Edit: Never mind, I found the answer in the PDF "what's new". There's a save sesion copy as... function for that. Edit2: ...However, the edit clib group files can not be downgraded to work with versions lower than 10... |
