Sound files replaced????!!

OK if anyone has an answer to this I'll be forever grateful!!
After recording a session and exporting the sound files a AIFFS, the session plays back the wrong audio.
The waveform contains the shape of the original file, but the audio is completely different. If overview is recalculated, waveform now matches the wrong audio. But where has my originally recorded audio disappeared to?? Can it be retrieved? Obviously some kind of DAE error. Opening previoulsy saved sessions will cause PT to look for the files but a search only reveals the "wrong" file. Searched for both name and unique ID. Has this happened to anyone before????

Did you rename any regions? I've seen weird things happen with filename conflicts in regions.

Also, when you exported the AIFF audio, is it possible you saved over one of the session audio files?

Yep, done that in PTLE, reported it, and everyone thought I was nuts.

Sorry about your misfortune but yes, ever since vesion 6, things have been screwy.
