Default Troubles with Macbook + LaCie + PTLE 6.9.2

I know that this problem has been discussed a million times. I must say that it does frighten me that there's such a widespread compatibility with PTLE and Apple.

My current setup looks something like this:
-PTLE 6.9.2
-Apple Macbook with 1 GB RAM and the Intel DuoCore processor
-Lacie D2 250 GB external hard drive
-Digi 002 Rack
-Tiger 10.4.7

Of course, I can't use anything because my LaCie is not a valid audio drive. I have literally tried EVERYTHING that there is to try, except for re-installing Tiger, and of course, upgrading to 7.1.1. (Yes, I have repaired permissions, uninstalled and reinstalled software, formated hard drives, deleted databases and preferences, etc etc.)

I'm frustrated right now because I just spent well over $1000 on the Digi 002 Rack, and I apparently need to wait around for a while so that Digi can contact me to tell me that I'm eligable for the free upgrade to 7.0? (Yes, I did register the Digi 002 Rack immediately upon purchase.)

So I have two questions:

1) With my current hardware and software configuration, is it even possible to run PTLE? Or do I NEED to have 7.1.1 in order for this to work?

2) What's the best way to go about getting the 7.0 upgrade besides spending $80 that I shouldn't have to spend?

This is a terribly frustrating situation. Any advice would just be peachy.

Default Re: Troubles with Macbook + LaCie + PTLE 6.9.2

I have .002r and 7.1cs9 on a quad, and I just bought the LaCie D2 500GB drive, and it works great with PT.

I had the FW800 port hooked up...Maybe I should be careful???

Go figure???
