Uninstalling Drivers

Every time my daughter tried to use pro-tools and Mbox on her laptop (Dell Studio xps x64) it crashed and she was unable to load Windows 7. Until now I was able to rescue the laptop by doing a system restore. This time the system restore isn't working. She's finished her uni project on another computer, so we're not too bothered about getting pro-tools working now, but I want to get the laptop working again.

I've uninstalled pro-tools and it's disappeared from the start menu, but the Programs and Features page still lists these drivers:
AVID Audio Drivers (x64)
AVID Mbox Driver 1.0.18 (x64)
AVID Mbox Mini Driver 1.0.4 (x64)
AVID Mbox Pro Driver 1.0.10 (x64)
When I select them and click uninstall I get the message 'The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.'

Are these drivers still on the laptop? If so, how do I uninstall them?

I wouldn't be to concerned with what drivers are there as long as ALL of the drivers on your computer are up to date(you can uninstall them in the control panel/ hardware sound/ device manager). I suggest it's your computer, post your computers spec with a sandra report so we can look at your comp.
