Default Best way to achieve a "transformer" effect on vocals?

Best way to achieve the transformer sound as a vocal effect as well as a beat effect. If anyone out there a transformer fan, knows the sound i'm talking about I would hope. When the bots transform basically.

How to implement that into a vocal effect?

PT 10.3.5, Mbox 3 Pro

Can you explain what you mean more specifically?

It sounds like you may be talking about a sound effect from a Transformers movie, but people could also interpret it (as did the previous poster) as meaning you want the sound of your audio going through a transformer like you would find in vintage preamps and compressors, which actually used transformers and is part of the appeal of their sound.

Yes, Pro Tools allows 3rd party RTAS and AAX plugings to run. A vst to rtas adapter also allows you to run vst as rtas plugins. But a few things

Fxpansion has discontinued the wrapper
And PT 10 is the last version to support rtas, PT 11 will only run 64-bit AAX plugins.
I highly suggest investing in AAX compatible plugins, most vendors are porting over there current plugins so there is a good selection out in the market

Oops.. nst7 pointed that out.

A vocoder or autotune plugin can give that effect, but a vocoder plugin can give you a better result. I thought you meant a transformer saturation effect like tube warmth

The effect you want is similar to Wild for the night by Asap Rocky right?

Autotune set to only one note is a good place to start.

Im talking about the sound that is made when the transformers transform from there Bipedal figure to when they morph into the vehicles they mimic.

that youtube vid of Asop Rocky was not even close, its just a pitch difference

And why Aseop Rocky? lol... Trash.

However, again, thats not what I was looking for. I'm looking for that sound from when they transform back and forth to vehicles and such.

When you said Transformers, the chorus of this song came to mind, anyways....

Can you post a clip of what it is your trying to describe?
