Default Feat. Req: Swap HPF and LPF mapping on control

Hi,

when adjusting AVID channel-strip on the control I wish the LPF and HPF were on the opposite side.

It´s kind of counter-intuitive to adjust the low end of a channel on the right side of the controls and the high end on the left side. While the graphical representation in the plugin window is vice versa.

I understand that the word HIGH pass filter is tempting to put on the right side where the high frequencies are put that kind of filter actually filters the LOW end.

Thanks!

Actually what I wrote applies to all EQ controls of the channel-strips. HF-controls are on the left. LF-controls are currently on the right.

Would be great if they could all be swapped.

Frank.

I think I saw your ideascale post on this.

I agree with you, however, you can fix this on your own for now. Here's what I did.

In the channel strip plug in, you can tell filter 1 and 2 to be LPF or HPF. You basically will manually put LFP on the right on the control and HPF on the left.

Once you've done that. Save those settings in the plug in as "user default"

It will be that way every time you open a new instance from then on.

Are you saying the default setting of the plug-in will change how it´s mapped on the artist control? Will the soft-knob labeled "HPF" turn into "LPF" when you save a preset in ProTools?
