Re: More PTX Buffer Errors: -9128
This does not happen if you use a third party Hardware. For my experience, I just get the RME fireface 800. The H/B is set @1024 everything seems running smoothly. But soon as I switch to 003 something happen.

Re: More PTX Buffer Errors: -9128
I've noticed that if I leave a session @ 1024, close it down and reopen it, playback is fine... until I switch to another buffer and then back to 1024. Weird.

Re: More PTX Buffer Errors: -9128
@vecchster
THANK YOU, MAN! That´s awesome! I tried it for myself and it DOES WORK! Of course, there should come a solution for this issue from Avid as it is not working properly but your advice makes it possible to work without any problems at 1024. 1024 will be needed mainly for mixing and so you can simply select the Puffer before you open the session to mix; and even if you need to change it within a session, it´s no problem to select it, close the session and reopen it. Especially if you then can use it as usual. Fantastic! Great Post, thanks again. |

Oh look - another reason not to buy an Avid interface. |

Re: More PTX Buffer Errors: -9128
PS...just as an addition...I did change the Puffer several times, including shut down PT and starting it again (just to see if it not only was a lucky moment , which sometimes may happen too). And it always(!) did work for me here as long as I did not change it within an open session, as my personal experience. As long as I did close/reopen the session before hitting Playback it always worked then with 1024...which may be a bit complicated but a tremendous workaround for the issue...especially before that it was not possible to use 1024 anyway...
thanks! |

Re: More PTX Buffer Errors: -9128
It does seem to be with Avid hardware. Switching to 1024 then closing and reopening works, but is still lagging a little. I'm sorry but I'm not going to restart my session every time I have to switch settings, that's just ridiculous. For right now I'm just using the built in line output which is killing me.
The most annoying thing other than not being able to use 1024 is the spacebar issue at any setting. Though for me, stopping the session is the problem. The weird thing is that while it takes about a half a second to stop in the beginning, around 35 seconds (after a 30 second video I have imported) it takes a solid 5 seconds to stop.
