Re: I think figured out why HDX isnt jumping off the shelf
I can do a great mix with an old 8 track and a mackie mixer....
I can mix on a "mix plus 24". System and I mixed on HD accel.... Your remark is irrelevant. I still think that anyone who calls himself a mixer - should be able to mix a great mix with nothing but faders, pan knobs , and the digi rack plugins... So 85 plugins on dsp and over 400 available in rtas... Is more then enough and saying thata there are NOT ENOUGH PLUGINS IS NOTHING BUT JUST ANOTHER PATHETIC TRY TO BASH HDX SYSTEMS and new HDX users who are trying to hold an informative and civil discussion without having you guys blowing dirt in our faces each time anyone here is praising their new investment....grow up

Re: I think figured out why HDX isnt jumping off the shelf
Speaking only for myself, and the studio here, I would not give up our HDX rig for anything that has come before. There are of course, a few plug-in related inconveniences, but they are well mitigated by the advantages. But that’s just my opinion FWIW.

Has nobody noticed that HDX could have doubled the resolution of the HD mix and at 32 bit Really who mix,s at 48k unless they have to . They would have need,d a HD12 satellite system for that. 12 cards times $7500 = $84000 plus a hd sync $2100 and avid sync software $750 and 2 Mac Pros = $8000 and a second HD10 license not to mention needing two interfaces for it 192 = $1200 X 2 = $2400 Thats___ TDM,, $104,250 ------------Compared to ___HDX ,$23,000 HDX2 with 16x16 analog i/o $18,999 Mac Pro $4000 Holly crap ! Now I just feel bad for all of you , we might have to pass the plate to save the TDM studio fund ! Ya HDX sucks it cost way to much LOL Sorry guys Iv been waiting two years for that. In case your wondering Ilu888 isn't me you can stop ragging on him now ! Quote:
