Select track after banking

Hello I can't select a track after banking from let's say track 1 to track 17 using the select button on the dock. if track one was selected the select button does nothing and stays at track one. I just came back to avid controllers after using ssl controllers for a min and can't remember if it ever worked that way. of course I can do it from the mixer or tracks page on the iPad but I would prefer to use the select button

Are you only using a Dock and Avid Control?

The Dock shows the attentioned track. In your case, that’s Track 1. It will stay Track 1 until you attention another track. You can attention a track in Avid Control by tapping on the Track you want attentioned. This will place it on the Dock.
