Default Guitar Rig and Eleven Rack

My interface is an eleven rack. I created a mono audio track and inserted Guitar Rig. I selected "Guitar" as my input. I can pull up rigs in Guitar Rig and everything sounds fine but my level stays at -11 on the track meter or around where green turns to yellow. When I crank up any of the input, output, Volume and rig Volumes on the guitar rig window, the meter track level is not effected whatsoever - I hit a chord and the level stays the same. Oddly enough, the master level, cranks up and down when I move the Guitar rig faders OR the fader on the track but the track level never changes.

You mean the clip is peaking at -11? That sounds fine...

That said, when you record, are you getting a distorted tone when using a distorted sounding rig? If not, you might be recording the dry signal only instead of recording the rig output.
Upping the master volume will make your monitors louder, will not boost the guitar signal though.

Thanks, I understand that. But this is odd. Hard to explain. I have one mono audio track. In that track is inserted a Guitar Rig mono plug in. I have an Orange Amp and matching cabinet pulled up. On the track itself I have for the I/O Guitar In and Out 1/2. In from Eleven Rack (my interface) to Master Stereo out. Pre Fader Metering is checked in the PT "Options" menu. The track is armed to record. At the top of the Guitar Rig Window I have the In and out at about half way. The Master and gain on amp head about 12 o'clock. The Master Volume on the cabinet at 12 o'clock. When I strum my guitar the VU Meter signal shows about almost to the Yellow. I can take ALL of the volume controls in the Guitar Rig Window and take them to zero and it has not effect on the level of the meter when I strum it. I still see a signal in the track meter but hear nothing. However the Master fader meter reacts as it should and goes down to nothing - zero signal. It is as if the track is reacting to my guitar only and not to the guitar rig volumes at all. What is going to tape is what I see in the Master Fader, not the source guitar track. Hope that makes sense.

So the GR5 is not working? Does this setup work properly when you use other FX plugins? Try the ElevenRack Free as an insert.

What version of PT are you using?

Thx, The Guitar Rig is working and I am on PT 10. Looks like the only way I can see what will be played back on a recorded track is what it looks like while monitoring the Master Fader. So the guitar is going into the 11 Rack, the track has GR5 as an insert and I can see the signal on the VU that is not being effected by the GR5. I can only see that effected signal on the Master Fader.

The insert is on the track channel and not the master fader, right? Sounds very odd...
