Default ProTools crashes in new MIDI track...

When I try to change the patch on a new MIDI track (with the "program button") either in Edit or Mix, PT crashes without warning. On the tracks that already have a patch specified, i can open the program change window and select a different patch, without a problem. It only crashes on new MIDI tracks, when the button says "none".

I am using PT 6.7 on a G5. My MIDI device is a Yamaha PSR 530 through an M-Audio Uno USB interface. Luckily I was able to find a PSR 530 midnam file, so that is the file the program button is trying to load.

I just installed Amplitube, Reason, and Sampletank, and I wonder if any of those have anything to do with the problem.

Thank you!!
Kevin

Please update to Pro Tools LE 6.7cs8, which has a fix for your particular problem.

Shame69 - it's always best to start a new thread unless your issue is specifically related to the current thread (same PT version, hardware, etc.).

Have you tried all the steps in the 'General Troubleshooting' at the top of the Pro Tools LE/WinXP forum?

You should also try trashing preferences files - do a search on your computer for files ending in .ptp, delete them, restart and try everything again.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you.
