AudioMedia III Gone Quiet
Two days ago I was using Protools LE 6.4 and it was working fine. Yesterday I started a session and the volume was very low.
I took to following steps to trouble shoot it. Selected Audiomedia III Card in Reason 2.5 to make sure it was not a preference change I had made in PT that was causing the problem.(Still low volume) Removed card and reinstalled it in a different slot and reinstalled drivers. (Still low volume) Tryed different cables from Card to mixer. No change. I plugged a mic into the mixer and did some sound checks to make sure it was not a problem with the mixer or speakers. (Loud Volume) Any ideas what might be causing this would be helpful. |

Re: AudioMedia III Gone Quiet
I'm surprised it ever worked for you.
6.4 does not support AudioMedia III. According to AmIII compatibility page: "Will NOT work with Pro Tools LE 6.4 and higher " From the 6.4 upgrade page: "The Pro Tools LE 6.4 release and beyond will not work with audiomedia III and ToolBox systems, which have been discontinued for some time. The previously released Pro Tools LE Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 for Windows XP was the last version that worked with audiomedia III cards. " As I recall, others couldn't even get 6.4 to recognize AmIII. |
