Default momentary un-group

Does anyone know a shortcut for momentary de-activating or suspending groups? Ex. when doing fades with the mouse on a specifick track belonging to a group, but doing it without affecting the other tracks in the group?

Thx

There's a button on my d-command, labeled Susp.Grps.

Isn't it that what you need ?

Also, holding ctrl. modifier pressed might work, too (like for soloing a grouped channel). But I'm not sitting in front of the d-command.

Thank you,
i was just hoping for a method like holding down a cap while dragging the fade-boundaries with the mouse.

But cmd+shift+g does the job. (like the Suspend Groups button on the console)

Vielen Dank.

Don't forget that you can make a group be a Mix Group only and then the groups won't affect the Edit functions.

That's why I'm using VCA masters for controlling volume of mix groups in 99% of all my PT-sessions.

Imo it's much easier to ride the VCA-master for a certain group if one wants to automate all group members at once because it still leaves the option open to ride individual channels though.

Of course Automation Mode has to be unchecked to make it work.

Keeping ctrl pressed while moving a fader within a mix group works too.
