Default Preview Mode Bug??

I think I found a bug. any time I write automation in Preview mode while a clip is playing it switches my automation from Touch to Latch. I'm clicking the "Manual Write" button to write the automation to a clip. This doesn't happen if I'm stopped, only if I try to write it while playing. this happens with various plugins that I've tested so far. ie: 7-Band EQ3, Bombfactory BF7

I'm on HD7.4 cs10. on a Mac Dual-Core Intel.

Any ideas? Digi?

Also, I tried this on multiple systems with the same configuration and have the same issue.

surely it needs to be in latch mode, otherwise it wouldn't write any automation without you touching the controllers. pretty sure it's intended behaviour.

I use touch/latch all the time in preview.

really? so you have to be stopped when you write automation in Preview mode in order for it not to switch you from Touch to Latch?

I guess I can use "Touch/Latch" to avoid this.

Latch is the mode that works best when using preview.

that's great but it shouldn't automatically switch me from touch to latch without me asking it to.
