CPU spikes. Help. [SOLVED]
I keep getting error code 9173 "Pro Tools ran out of CPU power. Try deactivating plugins...blah blah.
This is nonsense I have a quad core hyperthread CPU and 16 gig of ram. Plus my nvidia graphics card takes care of the video, all the more annoying as I get regular video stop errors too. This only began to happen since I upgraded to 12. Never a problem in 11. I'm on 12.4 by the way. Can anyone help? Should I do pref files dump as I've never done this, would it help? Thanks.
