Default REVERSE.

I know Linkin Park reversed an acoustic
guitar progression, then chopped up the
chords and re-arranged them in the original
order for ther radio single thats been out
from the new album.

Can anyone give some tricks/effect using
reverse in different ways with audio?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">i just did a guitar reverse thing. it was a little solo part. the solo was literally played backwards when it was recorded, then reversed in pt, then i added a few notes "played forward" to the end of the riff. kind of sounds like a sitar.

i have reversed a section of music and added delay or reverb, then flipped it back forward so the effect is heard before the music.

i have added "backward masked" vocal samples to songs.

sometimes a riff sounds almost the same backwards as forwards. i have started a riff backwards and then 1/2 way through switched it forwards.

backwards drums sometimes make a pretty cool beat.

what are you looking to do?

dabasstard's gonna love this one....

Okay, so I wanted this bass line tricked out. So I played it normally then reversed it so I could learn how to play it in reverse. Once I learned it I then recorded it then reversed it. I now have the right notes played in the right order with this weird backward kind of sound to it.

I love using Reverse for some things. I used a combination of Reverse and slide to create this 'Stratosaurus':

Wandering Star, you got the effect right,
Just reverse the phrase, add a light reverb not too strong or words will overlap reverse style and it will sound bad(usually), just use a light reverb, then reverse it again.

I beleive Cubase has something similar, but its an effect that does it all in one spot, its called "Espacial" or something. Anyone know that for fact?

Hope that helps.
