Default Intel Chipset compatibility

The compatibiliy specs for the digi002 system on the digi website recommend the 850/850e or 845/845e Intel chipsets, yet, you can't buy a new computer with these older chipsets in them. Does anyone know if this is a minimum version (i.e. any chipset higher that these would be OK?

I have herd of people using the newer Intel chipsets with success, although DigiDesign doesn't officially support them yet.

Digi tech support told me that the chipsets listed were the only ones that they have tried and have worked successfully with the 002. That doesn't mean that they are the only chipsets that will work, it means thats the only ones that they tested! We are all beta testers. Welcome to the club!
