Default How to solo effect return in PT ?

Hi, I make new aux track and insert effect plug ins ,reverb with setting 100% wet . After that I use send to send vocal track to that aux .Then I insert EQ to aux track .How can I solo and listen to EQ on the aux track, wet signal, only .There 's no sound when I solo the aux track because I have to make solo isolate on vocal track .If I make a solo isolate on vocal track ,How to listen only wet signal on aux track .......?

Well, you could temporarily change the output channels of the vocal track to something other than the reverb return, or, temporarily change the send from post-fader to pre-fader and pull the vocal fader all the way down, both of those will do the trick. Good luck!

What Joe says. Make the vocal track's send pre-fader and then solo the aux channel with the reverb/eq. You don't have to do anything else.

It would be nice to let users assign an "effects return" attribute to an aux input, or maybe to a bus or bus pair, which would prevent muting of material being sent down that bus when the effects return is soloed. A channel with a send would still be mute, but the mute would be post-send.

Since this an 8 year old thread, has anything changed now in PT 7.4? How could I setup my auxes to solo the wet signal?

Solo-safe the auxes (Command-click the solo button on Mac), and set up pre-fader sends on the source tracks. Raise the send faders to desired amount, mute the source tracks, and voila.

The only way to solo only the wet returns of post fader sends is to use the dedicated solo bus function in PT which requires the use of separate outs. This is handled perfectly with ICONs but it a bit more tedious without one.

Hmm, that should work but if e.g. my vocals tracks are routed to an aux bus, what should I do then?
