Default Os x 10.7.3 + sdd + pt le 8 = ?

Hi there,

Ok, here's a question that, perhaps, has been asked before.. I'm sorry about that, but I'm having a hard time finding a straight answer by myself.

It's a fairly simple compatibility question :

I'm planning on buying an October 2011 MacBook Pro.

17"
OS X 10.7.3
i7 2.5 GHz
8 GB ram
256 GB SSD drive

I plan on using Pro Tools Le 8 and a Digi 002 rack on this computer, and was simply wondering if everything should work fine, in terms of compatibility.

My main concerns are the SSD drive and the OS version (according to the sticky thread at the top of this forum, dated from last july, there seemed to be compatibility problems with OS X 7 and versions of ProTools older than 9)

That's pretty much it. I intend to have a separate HDD (Glyph GT 050) on which I would record the audio files.

Thanks a lot, I would really appreciate being sure about my purchase !

Have a good one

Hi, I have a Late 2011 Macbook pro with 128 GB SSD and pro tools 8.0.5 LE with a Digi 003r.

I dont have any problems with pro tools, however i do not do large mix sessions. I have at best 20 tracks or less.

THe SSD is my system drive and i record audio to another internal drive. I have 16GB ram and my mac is smokin fast.
