Aphex Aural Exciter

Hello.

On my blue and white G3, with PT24 Mix Plus, Aphex's Aural Exciter Plugin crashes my machine. System error, restart.

[For the record, I rarely if ever use an Aural Exciter, but some older sessions I'm restoring (different engineers) have them across all the subgroups (eek!).]

Anyhow, do I need an older farm card or a newer version to make it run? In the meantime, I have removed it from my plugins folder to at least be able to restore sessions without it...

According to our latest Digidesign and Development Partners Plug-In Compatibility, Apex Aural Exciter is MIX compatible as well as MIX optimized. The Plug-In chart ws updated last week and is available through the Compatibility link at the bottom of this page.

According to the information in our Software Upgrades section:
"Owners of Aphex Aural Exciter or Aphex Big Bottom Pro that purchased either of these plug-ins from Aphex prior to Digidesign distribution of these products that want to upgrade to MIX compatibility should contact Aphex directly at (818) 767-2929 or via contact information at www.aphexsys.com"

My guess would be that you have an older version of the plug-in, since the current version should be both MIX and 99 G3 compatible.
