Default compatibility between G5 and intel...

I am having issues with certain sessions not wanting to open on my G5 tower. I'll have a session that I am working on within my Macbook Pro and want to open on my tower and it will crash at launch. Not sure why this is as they are both running PT8 and are not using any different plugs from one another... All are current with PT and even if I save the session as a copy or save under a different name it still does it. Anyone else having this issue? My G5 is a 1.8 dual and the MBP is a 2.26 intel duo. The session is also on the same external drive, so it's not a drive issue.
