Default Hotkey to toggle conductor?

Hi,

I'm wondering if there's a hotkey to toggle the conductor in the MIDI menu (it would be nice to know keys for the other three buttons in the MIDI menu too if anyone knows them...). I looked online but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

I found out that 9 on the num pad toggles "MIDI merge" and 7 on the num pad toggles the metronome, but still haven't found out the conductor or the leftmost button.

Hi,

If you look under the help menu you will find the pro tools reference manual AND the keyboard shortcuts listing.

Why would you want to toggle the conductor?

Chris

Hey Chris,

I'm aware of both the reference manual and the hotkey listings. If you look in there you'll notice that you won't be able to find a hotkey for toggling the conductor. I couldn't find one either, that's why I'm asking here. I was able to toggle the MIDI merge and metronome buttons with hotkeys so my natural instinct was to see if I could toggle the surrounding keys with hotkeys too. So far it seems there is not one! And that's fine, just wanted to know if there was one or not :)

"Why would you want to toggle the conductor? "

Hope I'm saying this right: If you're composing in MIDI, going back & forth between conductor-track tempo for listening, and manual tempo for MIDI data entry (for us less-than-prestidigital), is VERY useful.

Odd that all the other transport window functions have a hotkey but that does not appear to (if your question is any indication).
