time limit? memory?
I work with live concert recordings, and some run into the 3-4 hour mark with no break. When recording with my G4 400mhz laptop, 256ram, OS 9.1, and an MBox, I get "not enough memory" when I run over 3 hrs or so. The audio is however, saved on the HD, but when I try and quit, and then load the audio (which has worked at times) I get a message stating that it can't calculate the overview. Is there a way to tweak the memory so it can handle this? Do I just somehow need to break the time up? I feel like ProTools has to be able to handle huge file sizes....right?
