Default Midi Controller not working

I can't get my axiom 25 to control the midi in PT 11 it used to work in 10.3.7 but this is the first time I've hooked it up since upgrading to 11

I hardly ever use it but it would be nice to get it working.

any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Here is computer spec and I included a USB report that shows it as connected

Default Re: Midi Controller not working

Have you gone(in Pro Tools) to Setup>Midi>Midi Studio and created an "instrument"(the Axiom) and selected the input port. This would likely would be something like "Axiom USB(Emulated)" Wish I could be more precise, but i don't have an Axiom, BUT, my midi controllers all work fine, once they are setup as described above

I have not tried that because in previous versions I never had to. do you happen to know what send receive channels should be activated? are they active when they are blue or when they are grey
