Unhappy Editing MIDI note timing causes major CPU Load

Hi all!

Strange issue I can't seem to figure out. Even if I have only one track in a project, when editing everything is fine, except when I want to change the start or end time of a MIDI note. I can move the MIDI note just fine or change its volume, etc etc, but there is major slowness and CPU spike when I use the right or left bracket on the note to change it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this workflow killer?

Many thanks to those who do!

M

Not without some system details. Sounds like a graphics issue to me, so maybe update your graphics driver. Otherwise, post a Sandra report:

You're not the only one... Check this out this thread: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=311714
I am having the same problem and to tell Avid we have to pay for a Support Code... A bit unfair in my opinion.

since you are posting in the windows 9 forum I expect you are using version 9...which one? I had these issues with 9.0.5
9.0.3 works as expected for me and i am now using 9.0.6 without these issues also....but it does not seem as stable as 9.0.3

I needed to get past 9.0.5 to update my Waves package, if you can try going back to 9.0.3
