Default Trouble Downloading Plug-Ins for Pro Tools

I' ve been trying to get various rtas plug-ins that are offered for free on the internet to work in Pro Tools on my Mac but I cant seem to get them to even show up in a new session.

I've downloaded the plug-ins on my PC for the Mac and unzipped them

They always show up as a document when I bring them up on my Mac. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Hi,

some thoughts:

- if the "Mac" versions have a .zip ending they are probably not for the Mac.
- Mac stuff has more something like .sit .sitx .bin or .dmg or .rar
- be sure to use the latest stuffit expander (9.x at the moment)
- uncompress the FILES only on a Mac
- if your are using Pluggos you need the Pluggo Runtime Installer from www.cycling74.com

so far
