TASK MAnager not showing properly PT 8.1cs2

Just curious if anyone else has this issue. Or if there are Task manager view options I don't know about.

Right now for some reason my task manager is only showing the top grey bar. (MAC OS X) So lets say its processing fades or something I cant actually see that. It is doing the work but I cant see it. If it cant find a file its searching for I can't double click the file to open in the relink window. I have never seen this before an its pretty frustrating.

Its as if I have a consolidated task manager window. instead of the full view. If I drag out the bottom corner It just shows white blank space

Has someone changed a preference on me in this room over the holidays? I hope so. And that its not an error.

Trashing the preferences seems to have fixed this problem.
