Default Sudden drop in volume but waveform looks the same

I'm stuck with a problem. I recorded my voice in a session and it had a good volume/waveform (peaking at -10). Applied plugs, editing, etc, it was sounding good. All of a sudden, and probably after hitting some unknown shortcut keys, the waveform still looks the same, the plugins and clip gain are the same, but the volume is extremely low. The peak indicator now reads -60 to -80.

I tried copying the track to another track, copying just the recorded voice, restarting PT, restarting the computer, opening a backup file, etc, but the problem persists.

I've been trying to figure out what happened for the last 2 hours. Anybody knows what could have caused this and how can it be reverted?

I checked the file outside of PT (media player) and it sounded good. Nevertheless, no matter where I check in PT it sounds very low. Even after raising the volume 36 db its still too low.

Weird! All sound files in all my sessions are acting like this! Only the virtual instruments, midi, etc are unaffected.

Did you check your Automation lanes?

Automation is the same as before. The strange thing is that it's happening in all my sessions (even ones I haven't worked in for months) only the sound files. It seems as if there is a preset or preference that lowers the volume of these files before hitting the fader.

Problem solved by trashing databases and preferemces, although I still don't know what happened.
