how does Heat work?

Sry, but i have a question...

How does Heat work...

I activate heat in the options menu...
I mark heat in the list on the lower left corner
in PT....so i see Bypass or Input selection...

On the lower right corner i select Heat to show up...

Everything works, but i thought heat works also with individual channels...
and not only as master effect...

is this wrong? and if not, how can i use heat on individual channels...

I am a little bit stupid...

Heat has a global setting. You have pre and post per channel. Do you have it set to displayed on the channels in the mixer?

Check out the HEAT section of the PT Ref Guide.

You can show/hide the HEAT Master Controls to globally enable/disable/bypass or adjust Drive/Tone (pg 981) or show/hide the HEAT Track Controls to set Pre/Post/Bypass per track (pg 982).
