Please Help!! MPC - protools sync problem.
Hello. I am currently recording my beats from my MPC to protools 7.1 with an mBox 2. The problem that I am having is that when I try to syncronize the MPC to the protools beat clock through MIDI, the recordings swing is slightly altered which is messing with the groove that I found using different swing settings for my drums.
What I am saying is that if i record once with protools as the MASTER and then one pass simply using the mpc without the beat clock the two sound different and look different when examined closer by the magnifing glass especially in the hi hats. My question is 1) how can I make the MPC as the MASTER and protools as the SLAVE to start recording and 2) How can I fix that problem? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Please Help!! MPC - protools sync problem.
In the peripherals dialog in Pro Tools set up a MIDI inout for synch.. have Pro Tools chase the MPC.
