Default Looking a simple answer 4 a simple question

Hi there !

I've been looking thru the forum this question but no success.
Anyway....

Alternatives of virtual samplers for PT LE (Mbox2).

There most be other types rather than Sampletank and Kontact.

When I say sampler I mean a virtual sampler able to admit any sound format and where you can layer your own banks and programs acroos the keyboard. (no sampler players)

I would appreciate an answer,

thx

You sound like you've already been given some complicated answers. I'm sorry about that, please don't be angry. This forum's very good at answers, you don't specifically need to ask, usually.

I use MachFive by MOTU. It works well, has lots of features, almost imports all the formats it says it will and is only a bit flaky. It's been due to be upgraded to version 2 for about 2 years now, so don't hold your breath, but version 2 should be free to version 1 owners. I saw mine cheap for around £100 (say $140ish) but it's usually more than that. It reads my old Akai and Emu libraries quite well and is very usable. It doesn't have multiple outs into PT on Windows, but it does on Mac (I think). It sounds good and I would recommend it.

Hope this helps. I don't need an answer.
