Default Bulk moving playlists?

Hey everyone.

Let's say you've a five episode series and the studio recording your ADR do it all in one session as opposed to five different sessions.

So say the eps start at 01:00:00:00 ... Then they place ep two at 02:00:00:00 (rather than give you ep2 in place in a different session at 01:00:00:00).

Can you easily shift it all down?

I revealed all the playlists and tried highlighting the whole second hour and dragging it down to 01:00:00:00 but that didn't work.

As it stands , manually dragging every take down the timeline for five eps will take me a lot of time.

Does anyone have a workaround? Am I being stupid?

Thanks a lot!!

Well, first off, you need to have a talk with your ADR facility and get them to do it right. The ADR should match the timecode on the original episode. Now, maybe it does, as it is possible that the episodes start on different hours, but still, how hard can it be to "duplicate session" and rename it, removing the audio from the previous session. Not hard.

Probably too late for that, but you can show playlists (assuming they are recording ADR as "takes") in the edit window, highlight all the tracks, and drag them to a new set of tracks where you can move them where you want, including into a new session with Import Session Data. Of course you will have to make as many new tracks as there are takes, which could be a lot. Might be easier just to import the ADR track into each episode's session and remove (not delete!) the unwanted episode's ADR. That way you will preserve the existing playlists with alternate takes and can move them wherever you want.

Thanks. The situation is as I've feared.

I alt click 'playlists' and that reveals all the takes under the main track. But when I then highlight everything, not everything moves so I'll have to do it manually.

What a pain

I'll alert them for the second block of episodes.

Select all that you want to move. Separate then make a region group. Copy. Go to where you want it, paste.
