Default 24" Imac and Glyph 050Q ext Drive

I just bought a Glyph because they're supposed to be so compatible with PT. My problem is that there is this clicking noise that is present in the sound whenever the Glyph is hooked up. I'm running PT 8 with the project mix going into the FW 400 port and the Glyph into the 800 port, BUT using the 6 to 9 (400 to 800) cable, which is supposed to make the drive run at 400 to match the project mix. Has any of you had this experience? When I run my Rocstor drive under the same configuration (and both drives have 400 and 800 ports), I don't have this problem. Additionally, when I run the Glyph off USB, I don't have the problem either. Many thanks for any help or ideas.
