Red face Plugin Management or Selectable Plugin Sets ??

Hi Team,
I used to do most of my composing with Cubase, then export all my parts as wavs, import them into a pro tools project to edit/mix/produce.

Now Pro tools Midi is so much better, I'd like to do all my stuff in Pro Tools. (And the fact that Steinberg want to force me to upgrade to Cubase 6 full version and will not allow me to go from Cubase Studio 5 to Cubase Artist 6 ???)

The problem I have is that I use lots of VI's when composing and a handful of reverb/dynamic/delay plugins.
When mixing I'm using all the reverb/dynamics/delays and none of the VI's.

These all take an age to load and must be using resources (Surely?) as they all seem to load during boot.

Well done for everyone who stayed with me so far Here's the question...

Can I create 3 sets of plugins (Say Compose, Mix and Everything) and select which set to load before I start protools (Maybe have 3 Pro Tools icons with different names on my desktop?)

I've looked through the reference guide and can't see anything that does it currently.

Is there a utility that will rename a directory or whatever needs to happen to make life easier for me?

I think this would be a great feature for v 9.1

Is it just me or is there a demand for a feature like this ?

Better still does it exist but I've just not spotted it ?

Cheers

...just use different folders beside your Plug Ins folder,
like the "unused Plug Ins" folder. Create a mixing Plug Ins folder and a tracking .....
at Library/Application Support/Digidesign.
so you just grab the plug Ins of that folder you need and put them in the active Plug Ins folder before starting Pro Tools.
