Default Real One Player Problem (core audio related)

hey all....
just installed the latest 6.9 core audio and everything is cool except for my "real one player".
does anyone know any tricks to get this up and going or am i gonna have to succumb to the inevitability that this forwarned to me.
i have an 001 and 10.3.9..... COMPATIBILITY ISSUES GALORE!

add window media player to this list of things that don't work either... something about an mp3 codec issue.

i guess i'll have to buy a new mbox.

If you let Quicktime 7 get installed along with 10.3.9, then that's your problem. Revert back to Quicktime 6.x (there's instructions on apple's site on how to do this) and you should be ok. 10.3.9 was never approved by Digi for this reason, it's always a good idea to check the compatibility pages before installing any OS updates etc.

so i'm tyrin to re-install quicktime 6.5.2 and this is what it's telling me:
"You cannot install this software on this volume. This disk is dimmed because it doesn't contain an appropriate version of Quicktime"
