Default BBE sonic maximizer plug-in

Has anyone had any experience with this plug-in? i was thinking about using it for mastering purposes but i was wondering if it was worth the $100

save your money ... the BBE sonic maximiser shouldn't be used anywhere near a mastering session

What Marc said.

You never want to put BBE in a mastering chain

But...it's not a bad plug-in for some things (basic dull track brightening). As to whether it's worth $100.00? I doubt it.

For the same money, I'd suggest Antares Tube. It accomplishes the same thing, but is a bit more versitile.

That said, Tube isn't a mastering tool either.

Ditto! Don't buy into the hype. My 17 years of recording I have never found a use for it. I had a one in my guitar rig for a week, couldn't stand the weird phase issues I was getting even with it in bypass. Took the damn thing right out.
