Anyone using external gates with 11R?
As some of you probably know. The 11R gate is kinda crappy. Specially if playing with high gain settings. If you set it too a decent threshold it cuts out too quick. Back it off a little and there's too much excess noise.
Obviously when recording you can edit out the noise (to a degree). But I find it affects my playing sometimes. Anywho. I'm looking at getting an ISP Decimator and going Guitar > Decimator > 11R Anyone doing anything similar? Is it going to work just fine like I imagine it would, or does something go horribly wrong? |
