Default Problem with MidiSport UNO and Akai EWI4000s?

I recently bought an Akai EWI midi wind synth. Today I tried uploading the EWI's
preset bank data to my EWI software editor. I kept getting the message:
"Error! Sysx data is missing bytes." At best, I got a partial
transfer. I"m using Akai's latest firmware for the EWI, and my midi I/O ports are definitely set
correctly. I'm beginning to suspect the drivers that came with my midi interface --- an M-Audio USB Midisport UNO. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,
Mike
