Pro Tools Mixer Faders/Peaks not responding

Hi,

I am using Pro Tools LE with Mbox Mini,

I have just noticed when trying to mix down a tarck, that the peakswhich turn= greens/yellow /red lights next to the faders on each each mixer channel
do not respond to the volume.

E.g when i turn the volume level up or down using the mixer faders on each/any channel/isntrument.

The light stays the same regardless.
So i could turn so,ethign down very low, and if the light was orginally peaking it will just stay this way..

Is this meant to happen... if so where are the pekometers, so I can tell what the levels are and if things are peaking..when mixing down..
