Problem with Import Session Data in ProTools 8
Hello,
When I'm importing a track from another session with "Import session data", the chords and the markers of the other session come with the imported track, erasing all current chords and markers… I didn't click any boxes in the import window. Is it a known issue or do I forget something ? Thanks for your help |

Maybe you need to UN click boxes? I haven't noticed this but I will try to pay more attention.

I know now that issue is not coming with PT HD.
Digi, is it a known issue of PT8 LE ? |

Re: Problem with Import Session Data in ProTools 8
Hi,
I'm running 7.3.1 so I don't really know about PT8 but in earlier versions you can determine what parameters to import as session data. I think you need DV toolkit 2 to access all the parameters in PT LE. I think chords and markers are included (or excluded) in the toolkit. I think LE has only very basic import parameters. So not really an issue just an optional extra. |

Thanks for the reply
Maybe you're right it's now an option but I could do it before with PT 7.4.2 without problem… And it doesn't seem really logical to erase the session current chords and markers when you just want to import a track. But now I've bought Eleven it's a big real problem because the only way to store the midi learn set-ups of Eleven is to make a session in wich you had made a sort of "track template" and import it with the import data function. |

Re: Problem with Import Session Data in ProTools 8
Hello,
I tried to import old 7.x, 6.x and even 5.x sessions datas (mainly MIDI but also tried aux audio and master tracks), onto new PTLE 8 session (I put some markers and chords inside) and some 7.4 sessions (opened in PTLE8). I didn't manage to reproduce your issue. If I unchecked all the option boxes (marker, tempo and so on), nothing is overwritted in the destination session. If checked the boxes, temp/markers etc are overwriten. I even installed the cs1 update and no issue Sorry. Did you tried to checked and then uncheck the boxes like albee1952 suggested ? |

Re: Problem with Import Session Data in ProTools 8
Thanks for the time you took
I've tried what Albee 1952 suggested but I'm going to try it again… (But with a session where I don't have to spend 30min to rewrite chords and markers ) |

Re: Problem with Import Session Data in ProTools 8
I've tried it again… No way
I've just noticed one thing different. With some sessions especially those made originally with PT8cs1 only the chords have been imported with the imported track not the markers. But every time the current chords still remain erased… |
