Well........there was the guy who was REALLY mad and just could not understand why I couldn't remove the sax parts from his stereo mixes. I mean, that's all there was.....the final mixes; no multitracks available and he HAD to have the sax taken out of all the tracks. "But", he said, "you've got Pro Tools!" "Can't the computer just gid rid of it?"

GUYS, THIS ONE HAPPENED THURSDAY!!!!:

There is a guy on here that tries to sell electronic devices to everyone. I do not know if he takes from Miami or any other place.

He was trying to convince me to sell my 02R to him and......

guy: Do you have a neumann mic?

me: no, I do like my Audio Technicas and AKG.

guy: man, do yourself a favor.. nobody will ever respect you if you do not have that!!

me: no problem, I am respected for my professionalism, talent and knowledge.

guy: oohh!! I can make something for you... Neumann has just released a chepaer version of MIcs made in China, called JOE MEEK!!![
me: really? sounds cool!! ( me and my technician laughing in the other side of the line)
me: how much and which model?
guy: NEUMAN JOE MEEK ( i imagine he confused with Neumann MIC) for less than U$1000..

At the end of the talk, I said.. well, how do you want to make business with a person that reads, has acces to web pages and besides.. you lied your name to me!!! thisis not your name!!
Guy: the stupid get very embarrassed and turned off thanking me...

Once I was working for a THIS client mixing his project. Me and everybody at the studio were enjoying the sound. The client wasn't there cause he said he likes to hear the mixes in his home. The day after the mix I recieved from him a FAX with RE-DOS.
He was very technical: 2db of 15.000 here, turn down the bass 0.5db there...hi shelf from 12 here..cut off 150 there...compress the voice thresholding more 4dbs ...etc...I thought ..wow the guy gets golden ear.
I did what he asked me, even thinking it did sound worst.
But my assistant by accident burned a CD with the original versions instead of the modified ones and delivery to him at his home. So he will hear the same stuff he already heard.
When I notice that..i said: Damn, now I'm ****ed.
The phone rings...was the client: Son, you did a great job, now the mix is perfect !
And I said...oh yeah..thx to your modifications...

Luke, something similar happened me with me..
A singer (woman) was complaining all the time that the reverb setting I had chosen was making her voice become lost in the mix..

Oka.. I will go through some other setting..

I by accident recalled another scene memory on the 02R ( instead of efx recall) and I had the same scene memory..

She said: great!! this is what I was dreaming of!!! congratulations!!!!

better!" Or, the client will ask for a slight change in level on something, and I'll do a
