Default MBox 2 Pro Issue with MacBook Pro Mid 2009 on Mavericks 10.9.3.

Hey everyone,

I am one of the unfortunate guys, who updated to Mavericks 10.9.3. not anticipating any problem using the MBox2Pro. However since the update the MBox2 Pro doesn't work anymore - no sound. It is detected by Mac OSX but no output can be chosen. A typical problem with drivers.
I think the issue is known, regarding this page:

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/t...OS-X-Mavericks

Even though I own the firewire version of the Mbox.

I wonder if there's any hope, that this problem is taken care of in the future or if I really have to revert back to a previous Mavericks version, because it worked perfect in 10.9.2.

Thanks in advance.

I think that specific KB article is for USB devices, however I don't think you'll see a new driver to specifically fix anything for Core 2 based Mac's unfortunately. Your best bet is to roll back to 10.8 or look for a new interface or Mac that is not Core 2.

Sorry for the bad news.
