Canopus and -6093 buffer underun errors
Hi, i recently bought a Canopus advc110 to output video via Firewire to a tv cause I do a lot of ADR, and I'm getting a lot of -6093 errors. This is on a brand new MacPro with PT 8LE. I've read the forums and there are many suggestions to help with this problem. Many people suggest buying a PCIe Firewire card just for the Canopus, but I haven't read any comments from people saying if this actually works. So, if any of you guys have had this problem, and I know quite a lot of you had, please post what you did to resolve it, cause it's driving me crazy.

Are you using this with firewire drives? Or anything else on the firewire bus?
If so then, yes, getting an approved PCIe firewire card and connecting your drives to the card, with the Canopus on the computers firewire bus is the way to go. Getting more info on your system would help with further diagnosis - see the Help Us Help You thread for details.

This is on a new Mac Pro quad, Mac OX 10.5.6 with 2 firewire drives, one 800 and one 400. The 002 is in one of the back firewire ports, the firewire 800 drive is in another of the back ports, and the Canopus is connected to it, and on one of the front firewire ports I have the 400 drive. Which ones are the approved firewire PCIe cards?
