Re: How to make midi notes look big
As I said before - once I set a size it stays there. There's no setting that says 'keep this note size'. Can you adjust the note size at all and if so does it stay that size when you save and close the session and reopen said session? Does it stay the set size when you quit and restart PT?

Re: How to make midi notes look big
Silly question from one who doesn't edit midi in PT that much; Is it a matter of one of you talking about midi in the edit window, and the other about the midi editor window?

Re: How to make midi notes look big
If we're talking about the main edit window (not the MIDI editor), mine doesn't "remember" the size either. It doesn't even remember it from track to track.

Re: How to make midi notes look big
PT 2021.7.0 w/ OS 11.6. If I enlarge MIDI notes using **** + command + ] and then hit E for full screen, the size is consistent between both zoom levels. From memory, it has always operated that way.
I'll check with some of the other guys I work with and see how their rigs behave. This would be frustrating. It doesn't feel like a bug per se, it feels like there's a setting that got tripped, or your PT preferences file has gone corrupt. You reinstalled PT but I'm not certain that your old preference file isn't still being accessed. If it were me, I'd clear out that pref file and start a new session (the behavior might be saved with your old, existing old session) then retest. This is fixable. Also, how do you have your Preferences set in the Editing/Zoom Toggle tab? There are a few adjustments in there that could be complicating things if not properly set. |

Re: How to make midi notes look big
That could be. I never edit MIDI in the edit window but in the MIDI editor window.

Making midi notes bigger
I'm on Big Sur 11.6 & PT 2021.
When going full screen, midi notes are too small to edit. I have to manually make them bigger. This wastes time. I've asked this question before, but no-one seems to know if Avid has provided a definite way to ensure midi notes are always an editable size when going full screen. I can't see an option in preferences. Surely it's possible? Last edited by Samba; 10-15-2021 at 04:01 PM. |
