Default Weird Bleeping Noises in Pro Tools HD

Hi All,

I've got intermittent bleeping noises that sound like a sequencer pattern while I'm using Pro Tools HD 8.1.1 with a Digi 192 box. It occurs even when I'm doing a bounce to disk, (with nothing on input.) It shows up in the bounce too! Anyone experience anything like this. BTW, it is the exact same pattern everytime, sounds like an 80s synth arpeggiation! Happens about once every 3 or 4 minutes....

Thanks! - Tommy

Are you using any plugins that are in trial mode? Sometimes trial versions insert noise, silence, etc. at some timed frequency.

Greg

I would guess cell phone radio interference. You might notice it happens when you are getting a call or text incoming on your cell phone. Could be recorded to track that way too.

Thanks Greg and Redbeard, I don't use a cel phone (!) but I had a cordless that I thought might be causing it. I unplugged it and took it out of the room, but the bleeping is still there.....I'm not running any plug ins in trial mode...I've unhooked a lot of things, including the inputs to the 192 box......I'm starting to wonder if the HD card or Farm card or 192 box is in trouble.....
