Default 48-core processor - Pro Tools cloud computing?

http://insidetech.monster.com/news/a..._20091204_GIFT

Intel coming out with a 48-core processor. I can imagine Shane gettin' ready to build his "Duadecuple-Quadzilla" Pro Tools machine.. Pro Tools on the Cloud. We ought to be able to run about 20,000 DVerbs on that little puppy!

You will only be able to use 47 cores because of RTAS issues!

I'd like to se the PT version that will let you insert 20 000 dverbs.

You will need about 4000 tracks for that

That's okay. The Logic 9 crowd for all their loyal cheerleading, can only access 2.5GB's of Ram before the program cries foul and quits. And ain't NO tech support over at that joint. You should check 'em out at the Apple forum sometimes. They funny...
