Default MBox Studio Hardware Question

Hi all,

I just got my MBox Studio last week and have been playing around with it for almost a week. Last night I noticed something different that now through my headphones I can hear the live audio from my guitar in input 1 whether the computer is on, or whether Pro Tools is open with zero tracks record enabled or input monitored turned on. That is not the case with any other inputs (2-4) that behave the way I'm used to (only hearing signal if track is record enabled or selecting input monitoring). The biggest problem is when I go to track my guitar, I can hear the live tone and the amp sim at the same time, but it only records the amp sim.

Because I am such a newbie, I'm paranoid about clicking button or settings I don't understand yet, so I don't think I did anything to cause this change.

Just wondering if something is wrong with my new hardware or if its just a setting? Thanks for any help! I appreciate it.

Hi There!

If you havent installed your Mbox Control App yet, you can download and install it from your my.avid.com/products#Myproducts under your Mbox tab. Once installed, you can then open the mbox control app then turn down or turn off your input monitoring levels. Hope this helps!
