Okay so, I have a strange history with 6101 and it seems to be to do with google chrome, or rather Brave Browser which I use all the time. If I have Brave Browser open, Pro Tools nearly always stops with 6101 after a number of seconds. Any interaction with the window just destroys pro tools. Unfortunately this is super super annoying because I tend to keep mix notes in google docs on a second display and work through them.

But yes, I think in general after 6101 was when it would happen.

However, I just sat here for 10 minutes with brave open and 10 tabs, buffer 64, qlab and mainstage open too all sharing the RME, send and rec patch changes etc.... and I can't even make it fall over! It's like I'm being watched by AVID haha. If it happens again I will try my best to screen capture it.

I have always had issues with Sonivox VIs since PT 10. Always something odd with them. I used XLN AD2 on a few sessions in 2023.6 the other night without any issues. I haven't tested or used any other VIs yet but ill give them a go.

I'm noticing this also with Kontakt, Arturia, and some other VI's. Wow! How did they miss that? (Edit) I just reverted back to PT 2023.3 and all my VI's work fine again. No issues at all other than IK-Mutli Modo Bass 2 as was before. I was also having issue with Pro Tools 2023.6 crashing when working with VI's. So it's defiantly a 2023.6 issue.

I use Kontakt daily, Ventura, iMac, have not noticed any problems ....crossing fingers now.

Which Ventura version are you using and are you on Pro Tools 2023.6?

Well I just updated my OS from Ventura 13.3 to 13.4 and the problem is fixed. Vi's are back to normal. FYI

More MIDI madness: Clips just not triggering sometimes. And still having the same problem on Monterey, -6101 errors and then no MIDI until the second or third time of playing back:

So just realised I sent out a mix where one of the midi tracks is silent on an offline bounce too. This is getting to be a very annoying bug now. No one else having problems?
