Default Trouble with Windows 7 64-bit

I recently went to Guitar Center and was sold an MBOX 2 MINI packaged with PRO TOOLS LE 8 SOFTWARE. When I brought it home I found that it was having trouble running on Windows 7 64-bit.

I've tried attempting different things I've read on forums to get it running, and even purchased an iLok from the douche at Guitar Center who didn't bother to tell me that this $500 software probably won't work on my computer.

It's been a few months since I last attempting anything because I just got so fed up and unfortunately Guitar Center does not accept returns for software and interfaces.

I understand that Pro Tools 9 works on 7 64-bit (is this true?) but I'd rather not spend any more money digging myself deeper into a hole.

Please god, if anybody, ANYBODY has any information that can solve my issues, I'd appreciate it, this [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] has been a hazard to my health.

On a related note, if anybody out there ever shops at the Guitar Center in Peoria AZ, do not take any advice from the sales rep named TJ Jilani, he's just looking to make a quick buck and is willing to sell you anything even if it's not going to work.

Default Re: Trouble with Windows 7 64-bit

You must install at least Pro Tools Version 8.0.4 to run on Windows 7 64-bit OS.

Here is a link to download the update:

Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 Update for Windows

Follow the instructions, and click on the View Available Downloads at the bottom of the page to download the Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 Updater for Windows [784.87 MB] update.

Here is the link to the Windows/Pro Tools Compatibility Chart:

Pro Tools LE for Windows Compatibility & Upgrade Information

BTW, an iLok is not required to run PTLE.

And, this is the M-Powered section, but I don't mind trying to help ya
