exporting click track
I am exporting audio tracks as .WAV files (to be used for overdubs at a studio that uses Logic Pro)
I also need to have the click track (created with the click plug-in) with that - how can I export this? I assume that I somehow have to create an audio track of it - but how? don't seem to be able to figure this out. any (detailed?) help? thanks

Re: exporting click track
Just buss the click track output to an audio track, record it, then export it as a .wav as you would anything else.

Re: exporting click track
I've done this by recording the click track to an audio track.
1) Create a new audio track, name it something like 'ClickTrack' 2) Set the output of the click track to this audio track 3) Set transport to beginning of song 4) Record to the end Then, you can use the wav (or aif) file for the click track region from the session/audio files folder. There might be an easier way, I've meant to ask this myself.

Re: exporting click track
Quote:
Either: 1) When you do a bounce, have an option for exporting a click track In this case, another file is generated with the bounce, e.g. MySongClick.aif OR 2) Have an option like 'File/generate click track file' This would allow you to browse for where to place the file. Certainly not a high priority feature, but a nice to have. Working with click tracks is so common.

Re: exporting click track

another (probably very basic though ... sorry) question: I use Create Click Track from the Track menu the INSERT shows Click I choose a SEND - Bus 7 (mono) I create a mono Audio Track on the I/O audio input path I select Bus 7 and Out 1-2 if I now play the click I can not see any input (nor hear it) at the Audio track (also not if I record enable it) If I then actually record on the Audio Track, then I can see it coming in and recording the click (and I can then also hear it when playing back) why can't I hear it without recording it? what am I missing here? P.S.: could it have anything to do with the fact that I am using an Mbox 2 Micro? (which doesn't have any recording input facility)

It's the same deal as if you record any other input. I always have my system set this way, so I don't recall offhand where to change it. With anything I record, I don't hear the input while it's playing, only when it's stopped or recording.

you change it for record-enabled tracks from the Track menu to auto input monitoring or by toggling it with Alt-K (it's in the manual on p. 364 ... of course one needs to first know what to look for ...)
